Dayboro is a picturesque country town situated just 40 minutes drive north of Brisbane. It offers a great relaxed country atmosphere but with all the city conveniences.
The Dayboro District consists of a blend of farming land, used mainly for dairy farming and pineapple farming, and smaller scale rural housing areas.
The township itself has approximately 300 homes on ¼ acre blocks. The newer housing developments range in size from 1½ acres to 5 acres, with larger rural blocks ranging in size from 40 acres to 1000 acres.
The facilities in Dayboro include a Primary School (approximately 350 students), Pre-school and kindergarten. Buses transport High School children to and from 3 different High Schools approximately 20 minutes away, and the train station is just 15 minutes away.
The shops in town include a Doctor, Food Store, Butcher, Baker, Newsagency, Take-away Food Shop and the ever popular Crown Hotel. Horse riding is also very popular in Dayboro and clubs include the Pony Club, Trail Riders, Polo cross, Cutting Club, etc. Other sporting clubs include the Football Club, Little Athletics, Softball, Swimming and Scouts.
